Paper Kites of Delhi

Kite making has been an age-old craft in Delhi.  Families with several of their generation involved in its making still exist within the city. Colourful diamond shaped paper is mounted onto slender yet strong bamboo sticks to produce a durable kite. Materials such as tissue paper, long bamboo strips, thin cotton thread, gum, paper cutter/scissors, sharp bladed knife for cutting bamboo etc are needed for the crafting process.
