The museum claims to hold the collection of almost 10,000 pieces of different trading modes and economics of India and many other countries. The collection majorly displays the currency (both coins and paper) of India and its evolution over time, from ancient India to different ruling periods of Mughals, British, and colonies of Dutch and French. The museum also displays different coin dies, some misprinted coins and paper currency from across the globe. The museum houses a small library about the history and the existence of currency, economics, and numismatic studies as well.
